Denmark exhibiting 8 artistsą designs for new banknotes
All of the designs look way to much like Euro knockoffs. The Danish notes
from the 1952-1970 series and the 1972-1996 series are some of my favourite designs of any nation. Too bad they have to copy their neighbours now. |

Denmark exhibiting 8 artists' designs for new banknotes

Oh, come on - they are quite different. :-) Of course, the notes depict bridges, but what can you expect from a design contest where one of the conditions was that the notes have to depict certain (actually existing) bridges? Must admit that I find it a little difficult to imagine what a note could look like, just by seeing a "hand painted" draft version. But unlike the new money in Azerbaijan, none of the drafts reminds me of what we have. Christian |

Compared to even the current series of notes in Denmark, these designs are lousy. And so goes Danish history, artistry and culture. |
