Grading Companies

... Sounds just like the set I put together back in the 60s. Do you have a way to display yours? I have mine mounted up in an old Whitman Bookshelf album, along with a Newfoundland type set in another. Maybe not worth a lot of money, but probably the only such set on my block. When I was very young, one could still occasionally pull a George V nickel from U.S. pocket change, and I just thought that art deco look was about the coolest thing around. Still do, in fact. I have an old album by "The Continental Line" that has holes for all the major types up to 1965. Haven't got Geo V nickel in circulation but I frequently find Elizabeth II coins in circulation and in the reject chute on Coinstar machines - no silver ones alas . The tellers at my bank also are happy to unload the Canadian coins they get and put aside (FREE!) |
