Default New Twenty

Have I Missed somthing?? I went to my bank today and got some cash and
among the bills were 2 new twentys(2004). however in examining them I found
on the reverse there were lots of small numerals 20 printed in gold all
over the reverse side. It was hard to miss them.
Has the US issued two series 2004 Twentys???

Those little yellow '20's are part of the standard design. They were
added with that 2003 redesign.

The new twenties were released last fall into circulation. My bank had them
the first day they were to be released and I got a couple. Now I see more
of the old twenties than new twenties, but for a while in mid Oct 2003 all I
saw were the new ones.

Dave,
What bank do you bank at? I could not find any banks in Chicago that
had some on the First day of issue. I finally got some the next day at
a currency exchange.
