Banks in New York / Manhattan
Hello!
I will be in the USA in october and I would like to know if anyone could tell me where to find a good bank in Manhattan which normally has $2 bills and 1/2 and dollar coins on hand... and which would be willing to change that stuff with a tourist like me! Greets from Germany, Carsten |

Most any bank in Manhattan should
have $2 bills and 1/2 and $1 coins. Be sure and exchange US money for them, rather than Euros. It will be easier all around. None of those denominations circulate to any great extent so it is possible that if the teller does not have them at their station they might have to make a trip to the vault to get them. I would go at a time when the banks are most likely not to be busy - Mon-Thur. morning. It is basically a matter of how cooperative the teller wants to be and they would probably be more willing to get them for you when they are not busy. Good luck and have a great time in NYC. |
