Default PCGS Price Guide, subtle change?

I just consulted the online PCGS price guide and find the message "The
prices listed in this price guide are for PCGS graded coins only." Didn't
it used to say that the prices were for "accurately graded" coins, even
though we all know exactly what they meant by that?

Not at all.

It has always been the highest price paid for a coin in a PCGS holder.

My question had to do with what I believe to be a change in the wording on
PCGS price guide pages, not a comparison of prices realized among slabs.

I can't remember exactly when I last checked the wording....perhaps 3
months ago, but at that time it said the prices were for "accurately
graded" coins.

However, from what has been posted here in the past, David Hall has
long maintained in the Collector's Universe forums that the prices
were fro PCGS graded coins. Perhaps he finally got his way.

Hmm.

My memory is that the PCGS price guide was for PCGS graded coins only,
and that the Greysheet was for accurately graded coins.

All of the price guides, without exception, make the claim that their prices
reflect "accurately graded" problem-free, attractive coins.

It always said "properly graded coins" which opened it to abuse for
people selling overgraded raw or third-rate slabbed coins.
