RCB does NOT permit commercial posts. Had either of you read the FAQ,
you'd have known this:

Want to buy ...
For sale ...
For auction ...
Visit my commercial website.
A list of books for sale is available from ...

1.4 Where Is the Appropriate Place To Advertise Books For Sale
or Wanted To Buy?

Is this really worth getting so upset about? Aren't there more
important things to worry about in the real world?

This newsgroup should be for advertising sales of rare books also.

Who decides what's rare or collectible? Booksellers on ebay routinely
describe 38th printing Penguins as rare.

After this newsgroup fills with FS/wanted, where could we then have
conversations about book collecting? There are several newsgroups for
FS/wanted ads, I don't know of any others for conversations.

Ah, another Barker sockpuppet!

Only an idiot like you would think so. Any half-intelligent person
would immediately observe that MY EMAIL ADDRESS IS ALWAYS THE SAME. I
just switch user names.

Now pay attention, apeman. If one posts directly via Google's
interface, one is invited to use different user names in each group. I
like to change user names like I change my clothes, as the mood takes
me. I also like to use appropriate user names for different groups.
Thus in abgf I am Arch Nemesis - because I am your arch nemesis. In
rec.c.books I am Shelf Space because it's book-related. In a UK media
group, I am The People's Poet, because it was a Rik Mayall character.

You don't need to be a rocket scientist to validate that all of my
posts originate from the same easily identitifiable Haunted River email
address (though you do need a higher intellect than an ape). Sock
puppets are used by people who want to conceal their identity: the fact
that I persistently use the HR email address is proof enough that I do
not wish to do that.

Now, you've had your face slapped again, I suggest you learn how to
engage that tiny brain of yours before your mouth gets you into more
trouble.

*shrug* We should have world peace, too. But "should" or not, we
don't allow "for sale" posts here. Cope.
