Default Wurlitzer 1100 amp has loud pop as record trips out

I have a 1100 that I purchased years ago. Someone else semi restored the jukebox. The amp was partially restored, sounded ok but the sound system had a loud pop when the record trips out as well as when using the encore unit. Pressing the side reject button does not cause the loud pop noise. I had the amp, volume control and preamp rebuilt by Bill Bickers and the jukebox still pops as described above. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this problem.

That is the magnet trip that is causing the 'pop'.

1) Check if any of the wires (or coils) for the trip circuit are shorted
to the frame. Also that the Mute switch is not touching the frame - it
is supposed to be isolated electrically from the frame.

2) Make sure to route the trip wiring well away from the pickup lead.

3) Lastly check that the pickup lead from the tone arm base socket to
the pre-amp uses a shielded cable.

Hope this helps...
