Default Weight

I would bet Giovanni would give you the exact weight of the pen and
compare it to the exact weight of one or two other well known modersn.

I will say this. I have a Parker Big Red here and hefting the Filcao
and the Big Red makes me bet that the Filcao is clearly heavier.

Now I am hefting a MB 146 and this feels closer to the Filcao's
weight.

Now I am hefting a Legacy and the Filcao. The legacy is plastic
barrel and metal cap and it is heavier than the Filcao.

Now I am hefting an empty Pelikan 800 and it is heavier than the
Filcao which is filled with ink.

Sorry to be so inexact, but I do not have a scale that will do such
small items. I bet if you post for a more exact weight someone will
have a scale and be glad to check. John Cullen

OK, this is what my digital lab scale reports:
FILCAO BigRed Button Filler: 28 grams
Parker Duofold BigRed vintage Permanite: 23 grams
Pelikan 800: 29 grams
Parker Sonnet Cisele: 28 grams
Sheaffer/Levenger Seas: 20 grams (without converter)
Parker Duofold Centennial (modern): 27 grams
Sheaffer Legacy Heritage: 37 grams

Thanks Giovanni. And I'll repeat the question I asked of JCC
Are all of these values based on a capped pen? I don't post the cap on most
pens so the weight of the body is the most important aspect.

Thanks again, KCat.

hello:

I was hefting them with caps on and filled with ink.

I do think off hand the Filcao body without cap is heavier than the
Parker Big Red without the cap.................and therefore heavier
than the 200/400 Pelikan.
