Default WARNING About "So-Called" Unopened bank wrapped rolls!!

There is an internet coin dealer on the east coast that is advertising
unopened bank wrapped rolls in halves, quarters, and dimes. These rolls are
FAR from unopened. One end of each and every roll you buy has been
opened.Don't believe the hype, these coins have been searched. Unless you
see them "in Person" at a coin show, I would recommend avoiding purchasing
sight unseen rolls like the one's advertised on this website.

This again? If people are going to complain about something, doing it
as a general blanket accusation against all unopened bank roll sellers
(this is, Kevin, what you've just done) is unfair and useless. Instead,
name the seller. Or, post a reminder to the effect of "Hey guys, if you
buy 'unopened' bank rolls, make sure you get pictures of both ends,
because I had a problem where..." or something.

Tell us who it is, or don't bother to post. "buyer beware" would have
been just as useful without any details.

You _DID_ leave negative feedback, right?

Here is what I know about unopened bank rolls; My accountant can always get
the new state quarter rolls from his local bank. He normally gets a
quantity for himself and seven rolls for me that only costs me face value.
These local rolls are always Denver minted. He has an arrangement with an
accountant on the east coast whereby they exvchange "D" and "P" mint marked
quarters. I get seven rolls of the "P" mint for $11 per roll, thus covering
shipping costs.

A few years ago he asked me to eBay some of the earlier state quarter rolls
that he had set aside for himself. When he brought them to me, the coins
were in orange, machine-wrapped and crimped paper rolls, but many had
heads/heads or tails/tails end pieces. I commented that the best
combination would have been heads/tails and he replied "no problem" and
scooped the rolls up. He said he could take them back to the bank and ask
the bank to open and reroll the quarters and also specify the rolls be with
an exposed heads/tails combination. Later that week he was back with the
same quantity of rolls, all looking like machine wrapped unc rolls. Each
roll had a heads/tails end piece combination.

The only point to my post is to make everyone have an awareness.

If you have a crimping machine you can wrap them any way you like.

Man there ain't nobody going to be telling you or anyone else where they get
their goodies from! Who needs the competition?
;-)
Just buy them in a slab and be done with it.
