Handwriting
I love writing with fountain pens, but have terrible handwriting. Can
anyone recommend any sites or books that talk about how to improve handwriting? or, any sites that have writing examples and exercises? thanks. Jeff |

Handwriting
Let me second the nomination for Fred Eager's book. The Getty and Dubay
book that Rob mentions is still in print and may be easier to get, but I would definitely make the effort to find Fred's book first. Other excellent (but out of print) books a Italic Calligraphy and Handwriting: Exercises and Text by Lloyd J. Reynolds Handwriting for Today by Tom Gourdie Pen Lettering by Ann Camp The Art of Calligraphy: A practical guide by Marie Angel Calligraphy - The Art of Lettering with the Broad Pen by Byron J. Macdonald Calligraphic Styles by Tom Gourdie The first three will help mostly with handwriting. The last three are great if you get the calligraphic fever and want to take "nice handwriting" to the next level by learning about layout and different styles. |
