If you think you ever might be asked to head a philatelicorganization ...
.... do yourself a favor and bookmark this page on my site: http://
www.mcgees.org/2009/08/14/penguin-stomps/ 1. If you are asked if you want to be a member of a group, you agree, then are asked to be its president, refuse. 2. If you are not a lawyer, and setting up the philatelic organization requires legal documents, refuse to write them. 3. If your group will be handling money, insist on hiring an accountant to manage this 4. And if you have any interest in choosing "Neither of the above" when asked "Would you rather be hated by philatelists or receive a tax audit?", tell the person who asked for your help -- in your nicest voice and with your nicest smile -- to go to hell. -- Joshua H. As a former treasurer and secretary of a now-defunct philatelic group I can sympathize with you somewhat, although our problems were an order of magnitude less than yours. Bill |

"Joshua McGee" skrev i melding ... ... do yourself a favor and bookmark this page on my site: http:// www.mcgees.org/2009/08/14/penguin-stomps/ May I ask if the said page has been taken down? Because to me it seems that the page http://www.mcgees.org/2009/08/14/penguin-stomps/ doesn't exist... -- Dag T. Hoelseth http://www.geocities.com/dagtho/ |
