Default B I O T

Being that the UK and US combined forces and disposed of all of the
residents of the British Indian Ocean Territory and turned it into a
military installation why are they still issueing BIOT postage stamps?
As TB says...a curious mind wants to know...

But the Americans use US stamps from the APO (and pay only domestic
rates) and the Brits could use domestic GB stamps (like they did in
their military post offices in Gibraltar, at concessionary rates that
beat even domestic postage rates. So, the military doesn't need BIOT
issues.
