He figured that there were 125 quarters in $31.95. But 25 cents is a quarter and there are 4 quarters in a dollar. So there are 104 quarters in $31.95. And there you have the solution, no matter how wrong it is :-D Now the big question is: who would pay more than face value for 1970's quarters? Anita |

(someone in Australia) A lot of people would pay more than face value for a nice MS64 even. Hard to find in a high grade for sure. But that pile is more than likely all AU's since clad coins don't take too kindly to sliding up against each other in a big pile like that. |

What makes you think that there would be Unc's or AU's in the lot? These look to be circulated coins, probably grading from F to XF at best. Reclining Buddha The Original Couch Potato! |

How would you get $0.95 when adding quarters? Where'd you get your math degree, Anita? LOL! 125 X $0.25 = $31.25 104 X $0.25 = $26.00 Now, the error comes in his description. He claims 125 quarters in his title, but 104 quarters in his description. Now, I counted ALL the quarters in his picture and there are 83 quarters. (LOL!!) Jonathan_ATC |

I sent him a question asking which was right: 104 coins or $31.25. His entire answer was "$31.25 thank you". However, even though the auction has no bids, he has not yet updated the description. -- Jim Seymour |
