Default Autograph SCAM on ebay, recieved totally different forged autos, than the ebay pic

Someone I know purchased a cast photo of Brady Bunch on Ebay.

The signatures looked legit on the auction page, but he recieved a
photo (same), but with TOTALLY DIFFERENT, HORRIBLE LOOKING FORGED
SIGNATURES!

1) the photo looked like it was printed brand new yesterday, but
Robert Reed passed away over 16 years ago. The ebay pic showed ball
pen of known legit lookling sig. The alleged fake is on thick
sharpy like he signed YESTERDAY, and totally different from auction
page pic.

2) 6 of the 8 sigs were signed with the same blue sharpy, exact
same signing angle, and same exact style...completelly different from
the auction page pic, which showed personalizations we well, unlike
the one recieved.

2 days after it was paid for, the sellers account was closed.
Claimed shutdown because he "asked for cash in auctions", but under
new account name now....which i dont know...

If for some reason this auction did not have PAYPAL buyer protection
attached, will Paypal under specail circumstances offer RECOURSE
for this purchase of a SCAM?

Forgering is one bad thing, but doing a switcharoo is a double
wammy,

I imagine this is 1 of millions of fakes on ebay....

Its not a guarantee, but try and deal with people with PROVEN track
records and very high feedback. Paypal Buyer protections is also a
huge plus. I always read the terms of the auction and the buyers
track record before I bid,

Always be carefull,

Den

They should immediately file disputes with ebay and paypal as an item
received not as described. Yes, paypal should refund the buyer. They
should return the item upon confirmation from paypal, using signature
confirmation as a tracking method.
