Default 2600 record stops

Hi all
I have a wurlitzer 2600 ( amp. rebuilt) that after a few plays and
warmed up the record stops playing. Last night after warm up this
problem started, in troubleshooting i noticed that if i turn off power
and back on again it operates fine for a few plays then stops again.
Also during this problem (record stopped in play) i took belt off, spun
record, but no audio. could it be the motor heating up and a thermal
resistor cutting audio and motor out?
Thanks Pat

Need more info.
Was turntable motor still spinning?
Was Amp on and not in standby?
Did you check the service switch was not intermittent?
Help us help you...Paul

Sounds like the points on the override relay. It is located under the
amplifier chassis.Manual shows the single-pole set controls amp and TT
motor. Be cautious-this is 120 volts AC.

Thanks guys, the turntable motor does stop. I then took the belt off
and spun the turntable but no sound. also the amp is still on, tubes
show red glow. keep in mind it happens after warm up and several plays.
I may be wrong but i turned off the power switch (only once and as soon
as problem showed up) and everything worked ok for a bit. The turn off
and back on again was odd? I will do this check again come friday. If
this helps. The box was rebuilt in 03 and worked good until this.
thanks for getting back... Paw
