Denmark - Returned cover.
Here is an in interesting cover which I noticed from
dk.fritid.filateli 1934 cover to Adolf Hitler, Berlin returned Cover from Kolding (Denmark) in 1934 addressed to: Herr Reichkansler (Reich Chancellor) Adolf Hitler Berlin, Deutschland (Berlin, Germany) http://www.thauctions.com/ItemDetail...5148&S=y&qOn=3... It appears to have been short paid and refused in Berlin (see label on back) It was then returned to Denmark for an additional 36 ore of postage due. Was it then re-sent to Berlin? What is interesting is the rubber stamp on the reverse side: it reads in part UNBEKANNT (UNKNOWN) Does this mean that the Berlin PO did not know who Hitler was in 1934? Any ideas out there? Blair |
