Default An Hypothetical.

The country of MooBaa produces a roll of diecut stamps,
and offers them nicely in a dispenser box for ease of use.

To advertise and display the contents, the PostMaster general of MooBaa
has two images of the stamps on the side of the box in full colour.

Obviously they cannot be fakes as it was produced by MooBaa post.

Can Meridia Perfidia who lives in MooBaa, cut out the images and use them
to frank her letter to her boyfriend Nigel?

Probably not. It depends on MooBaa's postal regulations.
In the US one cannot cut the postage from a post card or stamped
envelope and use it on another piece of mail.
In the US images of real postage stamps must be noticably larger or
smaller or bear a cancellation mark. The stamp catalog from the Cave
has life size stamp images with a line across the denomination of the
stamp. The official Guide to U.S. Stamps just uses smaller images so
you can't cut them out and stick them on mail.
Then there was the Walmart refrigerator magnets with almost real
postage stamps.

Well, Ralphael, I can tell you it has been done,
and it successfully carried mail.
Imagine in 100 years, someone comes across a cover with the box image,
it could create a real poser
