Default Pat Buchanan spills the beans: Bushies are gone

On McLaughlin Saturday evening, Pat Buchanan, right wing whacko and
Washington insider extraordinaire, spilled the beans during a round of
predictive statements, long a McLaughlin staple. His prediction:
"'Scooter' will not be the only indictee." Looking back at his
history, it's assured that Buchanan (like his more irritating sister,
Bay) is a nut, but he's a well connected nut inside the Beltway,
having worked inside the White House west wing for two
administrations. So, when Buchanan makes a prediction that goes
against his political grain, it usually winds up being fact later on.
Whether the next indictee will be Karl Rove or Dickhead Cheney remains
to be seen, but it's pretty much now assured that one, the other, or
both will be going down soon. Now, only deluded faux journalist Tony
Blankley thinks that the Bushies are invulnerable, and that's mostly
"spin" to keep his credibility with GOP hopefuls, who he hopes will
hire his fat ass to work their campaigns. Rick Santorum (R-PA) seems
to have made this mistake, and will go down by at least 10% next year
as a result, maybe more. Once the Dems take the Senate in a year's
time, the Senate impeachment hearings can start, and it's 1974 all
over again. Look at the parallels: Nixon "cut and ran" in Viet Nam
due to sagging polls, Bush is currently "cutting and running" in Iraq
for the same reason. Both were under close scrutiny for bad acts,
Nixon resigned rather than be impeached, and the only question now is,
will Bush's arrogance and stupidity make him stay in the White House
long enough to be booted out by the Senate? Stay tuned.

Just like Watergate, the dominoes are starting to fall...and the trail
leads right into the Oval Office.

Because he is? Remember the "Buchanan for President" fiasco? He
garnered LESS than 1% of the vote. Later, his overinflated ego forced
him to go Long Beach, CA and destroy what was left of Ross Perot's
"Reform" party by splitting the convention in two.

Pat is right on many issues, including the offshoring of US jobs,
Bush's failures so far, and corporate greed being the enemy of the
country. Just when you think he's rational, though, he'll go off on a
wild right wing tangent, thus destroying his viability. His constant
screeching over on MSNBC is funny to watch at times.

Buchanan may be a one of those "true believer" nuts, but he's NOT dumb
nor does he have "Charlie Nudo Disease," and he has many Washington
contacts that are right inside the White House and Congressional
offices. When he makes a statement like he did Saturday about more
indictments in the wings, you can generally make book on it. However,
when he starts talking about religion, abortion rights or elections,
all relationship to rationality ends.
