Default Oh my gosh what I saw today!

So today I'm in the local coin shop talking coins and killing time and in
walks a lady. She proceeds to pull out 4 gold coins that came from her
grandfather. No real big deal yet, right?

Turns out they were all dated 1849 $2.5, $5, $10 & $20 Mormon gold pieces!
All VF or better and I believe genuine.

Her grandfather passed away a few months ago and had been an active
collector for over 60 years. Since this happened here in Utah, it is not
real uncommon to have someone pull out a Mormon coin every now and then, but
to see all 4, WOW!

Wes

Hopefully the dealer urged her to get them authenticated before doing
anything with them...

Lucky bloody you. I had the pleasure of examining such at Kagin's table once,
spent almost an entire hour just looking.

Bruce (five figure price tags on each...YOW!)
