Mint sent info on Kennedy Halfs
I know, the prices are pretty high, for the gold coin which contains 3/4
ounce of gold, they want 1,277.50 which is close to the price of an ounce. The uncirculated 2 coin set, which consists of the same coins available in the rolls, is priced at 9.95, a dollar face value and 8.95 for the packaging. I will probably order the 4 coin set with the reverse proof coin but they want a hundred dollars for this set which is a pretty big premium over the silver content. No mintage limit is set for any of these options, so it is just a crap shoot if any of these issues will increase in value on the secondary market or drop like a rock. The Kennedy half used to be very popular in europe and other countries, so a demand could arise due to those markets, but again all depends on final mintage figures, which are open ended at this point.
