Greetings Casdon.
..
The nine stamps are part of a series of Disney Fairy Tales. There are seven
sets of fairy tales in this series issued September 9, 1987. The Scott
Catalogue numbers for the Sleeping Beauty set is 1541. Thus, the Royal
Family stamp is 1541a, the Maleficent cursing Aurora (infant) is 1451b, and
Sleeping Beauty Awakens is 1451i.
..
Very few of these stamps have actually seen postal service. They were
produced in very large quantities, not necessarily to be use on mail, but
for novelty stamp collectors.
..
If you have these as individual stamps, the catalogue value (CV) is
twenty-five cents each. If all nine stamps are attached the CV is two
dollars. (Information for the Scott 2002 Standard Postage Stamp Catalogue,
volume 3.) Most stamp dealers will sell these between 50 to 120 percent CV.
Most stamp dealers will buy these between 10 to 50 percent CV.
..
Not enough for a world cruise, but possibly quite priceless to a child just
starting to collect stamps.
..
Respectfully,

Gordon Lee
