Does anyone know where I can buy just the nib
for a Mont Blanc with the following numbers: 4810, 18k, 750, 144 (fine nib)? Thanks, Michael |

The only number that's important is "144," which, I presume, is on the cap band, preceded by "Meisterstuck No." It depends on what you need. If all you need is a replacement, then a MB dealer or boutique is probably your only recourse. If it's adjustment, regrinding, or any number of things other than replacement, it might be possible that a nib meister could help you out. Mark Z. who has a '90s MB 149. But it was a gift. Really!!! |

What about the 144? Does that mean it's a fine
pt? I appreciate your time. Michael "mz" wrote in message magic.net... Michael wrote: Thanks, Mark. It's really strange. I have a basic Meisterstruck and also a Hemitite, and
on neither nib can I find any letters indicating nib size. I'll keep looking. And thanks. Mike "mz" wrote in message magic.net... Michael wrote: What about the 144? Does that mean it's a fine pt? "Pure gold" is 24k, and 18k is 75% of that, ergo the 750. Likewise, 14k is about 58.5%, and therefore 585 markings on corresponding nibs. Cheers, Jimmy |
