WWII U.S. Brown Combat Boots, Unissued.

This pair of WWII U.S. Brown Combat Boots are in excellent and in new,
unissued condition. They have never been worn. These are unusual in that
they were modified by the insertion of a side zipper so that the laces would
not have to be untied. The boots have 11-hole-type eyelets. The boots are
size 10E. They are marked on the bottom sole (USA) and marked on the heals,
(Goodyear Wingfoot, Made in U.S.A.). The inside is marked with the size. The
side zipper is marked, (Prentice, Made in U.S.A.). At the top of the boot is
a leather tab with snaps that snap over the top of the zipper. The boots are
unissued and show absolutely no wear on the insides or on the bottoms. These
are the first pair of Combat boots with side zippers I have come across.
