Default Tech: Rock Ola Mirage 3000X

I bought this cheap and not working. It was missing the power cord. I
installed a new power cord and powered it up. The jukebox started scan the
CD's. I flipped the bottom dip switch and it stop scanning. Added a few
credits and pick a song. Everything work but it wouldn't read the CD's. I
cleaned the lens and tried again. Wham-o, it started to work. But as I was
listening to the music, I noticed it was playing only one channel. Found all
the speakers wired to left side. When I wired it correctly, the right side
sounds distorted. I traced the problem to a blown fuse, a shorted transistor
and some burnt resistors. Now my questions: When hooking up the speakers,
are they wired to 4 ohm or 2 ohm terminals? I can find any ohm rating on the
speakers. How can I get the jukebox to rescan the CD's? The first 10+ cd's
comes up as error if I select them. Should I replace the caps on the driver
board while I still have it out.
Thanks, Tom

Tom,

The speakers can be hooked to the 4 Ohm terminal for maximum power for the cabinet speakers. If you add externals, you will need to adjust for impedance matching.

To map the zeroed discs:

Pull the scan switch to the center ( "Service" ) position.

Holding down the "Play Hits" button, press and release the "1" button two times; Display should read " S - 3".

Holding down the "Play Hits" button, press and release the "4" button, release the "Play Hits button; Display should read " - - ".

Press the CD slot numbers you want to re-map. i.e. " 0,0 " " 0,1 " " 0,2 ", etc.

Press the "Reset button.

Slide the scan switch back to the "Operate" position.

The mech should scan and pick up your selections to re-map them.
