On the Sharjah first officials set (Scott O1-O9; SG O101-109)
there is an 8 NP (lowest) face value listed in both catalogues
with very minimal catalogue value, yet I have never seen a set
offered with this 8 NP stamp.

I have confirmed that this stamp really exists.
So why does it seem to be missing from virtually all sets?"

I asked on a few links I knew Blair,
but no response as yet.

BTW are you aware of the journal "Arab World Philatelist" now available
in image form on the web, by Mr Courtney?
I think that would be right up your alley.

Hi Rodney:

I have know Howard Courtney for years and subscribed during the full
(but sadly short) run of this fine magazine.
