I love writing with fountain pens, but have terrible handwriting. Can
anyone recommend any sites or books that talk about how to improve
handwriting? or, any sites that have writing examples and exercises?
thanks.

Jeff

An excellent book is The Italic Way to Beautiful Handwriting by Fred Eager;
I believe it is out of print but readily available used through Amazon.com.

However, it should be understood that there are no quick fixes; though this
is the best book I have seen on the subject, it still requires much practice
to improve.

You had posted the same response to a similar question a number of
years ago - when I first started lurking here.

I then bought the book (paid about $7, shipping included from
Half.com) and almost every day, while at work, would practice for
about 8 or ten minutes.

Now strangers tell me thay want me to address their Christmas cards!
Ah, and it may help that I have had all of my nibs ground to a broad
cursive italic....

Good suggestion, IMO!

I can recommend Write Now: The Complete Program For Better Handwriting
by Barbara Getty, Inga Dubay. It worked wonders for my handwriting. I
picked up a copy from my library and worked through it.
