A nice dollar

Jason Craton went on a vacation recently and while he was traveling the
world he made a few elongated cents.
He sent me copies as he knew I collected them ocassionally. A few nice
examples from S Dakota :-)

Go back a few weeks or months in time.............................
I acquired an album for US dollars that was a year album.
A space for one dollar from each year that they were minted starting with
the Morgan dollar in
1878 and including one each year for the Morgans. Peace, Ike, and SBA
dollars. Plus a few extra holes for mint mark examples.

I never really collected dollars so the album set in my closet for months.
I decided that it would be fun to collect a few and that I would finish the
set as cheaply as possible.
ie no unc no MS 65, etc and what ever example I could find in dealer's junk
boxes. A cheap set i hoped :-)

Presently I have 5 out of 28 Morgans, 2 out of 10 Peace, 1 out of 7 Ikes,
and one SBA dollar.
I have only paid for one morgan and the rest have been sent free from the
RCC and WINS group.

I am amazed at the generosity of these folks!!!!!! The nices and most
generous and helpful folks I have ever met, I have encountered on-line. I
think it is a trait of coin collectors :-)

Anyway alson witht the EC's jason sent a dollar for my album. Here it is.
It
is the nicest one in my
album :-) Not much luster from the scan but there is some in person.
