Hi
Anyone who can tell me what rate lies behind a 25 reis stamp added to a
wrapper in 1886 destined for China, please?

Your first message was misleading as the stamp
on the wrapper was 20 Reis and not 25 Reis as you stated.

In the 1880s, 10 Reis paid the postcard rate to Portugal and
Spain, while 20 Reis was the postcard rate to other countries.

I suspect that the wrapper contained printed matter and thus
would be carried at the 20 Reis rate.

20 Reis was worth about one penny (1d) sterling.
