Anybody aware of which issue this was?

and the German Democratic Republic
once issued a stamp made entirely of synthetic chemicals.

Mi.Nr. 950-951 (sheet 18)
12 March 1963: Chemical Industry

50 Pf : Lab assistant working with modern lab equipment
70 Pf : Distillation column of petrochemical industry

The material of the sheet is called "Dederon".

This would be Scott 646, except that Scott only placed
a footnote in its place.

"On March 12, 1963 a souvenir sheet publicizing
'Chemistry for Peace and Socialism' was issued.

It contained two imperforate stamps, 50pf and 70 pf,
printed on ungummed synthetic tissue.

Size 105 mm x 74 mm Value $2.75
