Default STAMP SHOWS in Canada & USA-WARNING Re Edmonton Stamp Show!!

At least one senior official of RPSC is under serious criminal frauds
investigation, with other possible charges pending, based on further
investigations. He used to be a prison warden, while major drug deals
were going down in his penitentiary!! How did he finance his
collection, one wonders??
His co-directors must be sweating bullets as they say, and now with
Interpol interested, who knows who else will get drawn into the
web,both in Canada and elsewhere?

I think that the mysterious world of stamp collecting needs a good car chase
now and then as well.

What's the body count on this story?

This warning needs constant repetition, so that gullible new dealers
avoid having their stock stolen in Edmonton,Canada.

It certainly seems to be an inside job, and the lack of concern by the
city police, shows how little interest they have in the matter, when
out of towners get robbed.

"Lack of concern"? Does that mean that the "official of RPSC" is no
longer "serious criminal frauds investigation"?

BTW, when was the original article in the _Edmonton Journal_?

Hi Eric. No,lack of concern means they are too busy getting donuts and
coffee in the local Tim Hortons. Also, they make more money from
parking tickets and photo radar.

As for the ongoing investigation re criminal charges, still ongoing I
would suspect, both in town,in Ottawa, and overseas since Interpol
involved because of money laundering.

In any case, dealers considering Edmonton Stamp Shows should realize
they may not be insured, because of the constant series of thefts
there,apparaently an "inside job"!!

Eric, the article was published by the Edmonton Journal newspaper
between 28 March 2003 and 30 June 2003, on their police reports page.
If you need the exact date and page number, the newspaper can probably
fax you the printed article.

I am listing stamp club shows that are occurring in Canada & USA on my web
page
under STAMP SHOWS. I beleive that it is the most complete and up-to-date
listing of STAMP CLUB SHOWS in North America on the web. If you wish to have
your club's show listed, please email
me the details. Listing is FREE. I will attempt to update the list weekly.
Come and visit the site.
