A new find not on my want list.

I don't do Saturday shopping. Whenever I find something it is a red
letter day. I came across a title not on my list. I do collect Canadian
humor in my period if I can find it. This one, I never want listed.

with an Infinite Fund of Anecdotes, Facetiae, Etc. Second Edition.
Halifax, NS Hartley And Walker, 1837.

I checked it out at Amicus which is the Canadian Union Catalog. There
was no copy, but under the publisher I was able to find a copy, printed
that year by that publisher, of the child's version of Robinson Crusoe
with Canadian cuts. At any rate, there was no way I could have gotten
that ond on my want list, and the Robinson Crusoe made it clear that
the publication was possible that year in that place. It has a comical
frontispiece and Tp vignette.

Great title!

Interesting to note that it was a second edition -- I wonder how large
the printing was of the first.
