In our Sunday church bulletin, our pastor bemoaned the drastic increase
in our level billing for natural gas to heat the church, rectory and
grade school (from just under $2400 per month to just over $4800!), and
asked that we leave Mr. Washington at home, and instead put Mr.
Jackson, Mr. Madison or at least Mr. Lincoln in the collection plate.

After Mass I waited until everybody had left, and gently pointed out to
him that Mr. Hamilton was on the $10 bill, while Mr. Madison was on the
$5,000 bill. He laughed, and promised to call me if he got any.
