I found that if you turn them inside out they look like new. Carefully flatten
the pillaster out then bend it around a broom handle. Most dents will
dissappear and the blue will be nice and crisp. I have done this several times
with graet results.

hmmm.. that sounds feasible, but then they become reversed right? The LH
becomes the RH and vice-versa. What do you do with the key lock hole on the
opposite side?

You can move the lock to the other side of the box.
