Not true, only about half of them are listed.

Thanks George.
Sheesh!
This being a nit-picky NG:

February 1865 is the only month in recorded history not to have a full
moon.

Not true.
10th Feb 1865 - full moon.
(2 separate sources)

There's others, but one will do for me.

If the QE2 only moves 6 inches per gallon, then it would take 21,000,000
gallons to cross the Atlantic, roughly. Methinks she does a little better than
that, but I have no proof. Great list though! Thanks- Mike

this is the one I've debunked in the past and still have

Incorrect cos i'm a one finger typist ;-)

The average person's left hand does 56% of the typing.

My left hand does more like 95% of the typing, with the right hand
only using the control buttons, and on a really good day the return.
;-) (but spends it's life guiding the mouse).

25 as someone else said.

The States listed on the $5 Note's Reverse side are only those States which
were a part of the Union when the designing of the Lincoln Memorial was done
(48); however, only 26 can be seen from the angle provided by the image on the
Note.

From the Bureau of Engraving and Printing:

Vignette on the Reverse of the $5 Note - The vignette on the reverse of the
five-dollar note depicts a likeness of the face of the Lincoln Memorial as it
appeared in 1922 when it was first dedicated. At that time, there were only 48
states that made up the United States of America.

The names of 26 states were engraved on the front of the Memorial. This is why
only the names of 26 states appear in the vignette on the reverse of the
five-dollar note.

In the upper frieze of the façade in the vignette the states are from left to
right: Arkansas, Michigan, Florida, Texas, Iowa, Wisconsin, California,
Minnesota, Oregon, Kansas, West Virginia, Nevada, Nebraska, Colorado, and North
Dakota.

In the lower frieze from left to right the names of the states a Delaware,
Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Georgia, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland,
Carolina, New Hampshire, Virginia and New York.

You mean the kind that are common today, pinned at the center, instead
of springed on the ends of the handles. The ancients had those
compression leaf spring scissors, and I would be willing to bet,
perhaps from 4000 BC or earlier. And, such scissors have been in use
recently. I just cleaned and oiled a pair.

On NPR's "What do you know?" for Saturday the 25th, it came out that
only 15% of the people struck by lightening are women.
