Cleaning out Pens
Despite my careful and fairly regular cleaning of my Mont Blanc pen, the
use of the Blue-black ink has taken a little toll on the internal chamber of the pen. [Maybe I missed a month or let the pen get to dry?] There is ink residue in the pen when I empty it out and flush it with clean, filtered water. This is annoying because it blocks the pen's viewer ports which allow me to tell when the pen has a low ink supply. It also disturbs my sense of pen zen. Is there a simple way of cleaning out the pen that is clean and safe for my pen? Its a Montblanc Meisterstuck Le grand. -- Aaron W. Hi Aaron, This very question has been covered in several threads on www.fountainpennetwork.com Why not head on over and peruse the Mont Blanc and Writing Instruments forums. If you register as a member (which is free), you can use the search function to speed up your hunt for the answer. |

Let it sit overnight to a couple of days and agitate occasionally while it sits. -- ~~Bluesea~~ Spam is great in musubi, but not in email. Please take out the trash before sending a direct reply. |

Cleaning out Pens
Try slightly soapy water. SLIGHTLY. Add a dab of dishwashing liquid
to the water. A dab is described as the amount of dishwashing liquid that sticks to the tip of a toothpick. On Feb 7, 8:45*pm, Aaron W.
