Viaggio by Fedrici Cesare 1587

I have in my possession a copy of the above book, which was printed in
1587. My edition has been rebound within the last twenty years but the
pages are from the original printing date. I have had no luck at all
finding out information about this book and I would be grateful if
someone could help.

What stones have you turned so far? For example, have you searched on
the Karlsruhe metacatalogue
(http://www.ubka.uni-karlsruhe.de/hylib/en/kvk.html)? That turns up
just one copy, at the University of Pompeu Fabra, in Barcelona
(http://rebiun.crue.org/cgi-bin/abnet...1965353141/NT1). They
might be able to help.

Note that the author's name is correctly Cesare de Fedrici. An exact
phrase search on Google turns up 47 results, mostly in Italian, but
some in English. One or two more relevant results (including a record
of a 1588 copy in the Goethals Indian Library,
http://www.goethals.org/oldbooks.htm) came up by searching for all of
the following:

It appears that some libraries have him under 'Federici, Cesare'.
As is common with these early books you can usually find modern
reprints
(although these are also quite rare sometimes) which will most probably
have
an introduction that will answer most of your questions.
