And I'm still blocked from bidding.

Does he still cancel auctions if someone bids on one of his auctions and
then mentions it in this newsgroup? Anyone foolish enough to bid on one
of his auctions to find out?

Yep, I'm still blocked, tried to bid on one of his auctions and it stated
that I was not permitted to bid on his auctions..

Guess he still carries a grudge from RCC.

Can't we all get along...........LOL

Mike

A number of his offerings were purchased with the intent of using them
against him in court. So anyone he could identify got blocked.

The tipping point was when RCC decided ACG was dead and folks wanted
souvenirs before they vanished. A large number of readers put in bids
on various of his items. I bid on an MS70 jefferson 5c, IIR. He pulled
almost all of his auctions and probably worked all night updating his
blocked bidder list.

I got an ACG MS70 5c from a dealers junk box and paid much less than
I'd have paid Al, the dealer gave it to me as part of a medium small
purchase at no visible extra charge. He seemed quite glad to be rid of
it.

Bruce (Wonder if Al's wishing he had that money for his lawyers)

I believe if you have EVER posted to this NG, he will cancel your bids
and block your from future bidding on his auctions. That's what happened
to me when I first found RCC - I made a total of two posts to RCC before
I bid on one of his auctions, but I was blocked and banned anyway. At
that time, I knew nothing of ACG and all the crap that had been going
on. I guess it was fortunate for me that AH was single-handedly ruining
his business by blocking people from buying from him.

I have bought a few of his auctions (Canadian, not U.S.) with no problem
whatsoever. There has always been a very gentlemanly thank you note from,
IIRC, a Mr. Clayton.

Mr. Jaggers

I honestly can't comment on his customer service as he's got me
blocked from being a customer, but from all reports he's a good guy to
buy from service-wise.

Clayton is the computer literate member of ACG. He's the fellow who's
actually posted here in the past and likely the one who has to read
RCC daily to see what we're up to. He has my sympathy, I hope he knows
how to killfile!

If you could compile a list of Hagar's blocked bidders list, it would
read as a "Who's Who in RCC." If you're on that list, you're in mighty
fine company.

I was blocked from bidding on one of his auctions when this lawsuit
nonsense first started, but I didn't know if it was because I was an
RCC regular or if it was because I had 9 feedbags (he required 10
minimum at the time).

You will note he's selling a lot of NGC stuff as well as ACG. Trying
to bring crediability?

Jerry

Coins are his business and ACG stuff ain't selling well. He's picking
up more NGC stuff, more power to him there.

Bruce (Will not make bad pun about "crudiability")

How, from a USNET newsgroup, would one garner the info on what eBay username
one is using to bid?

Heritage, PCGS, Stuppler, ANA et al have moved for dismissal of all
charges with the Hager's att'y opposing. At present, the Hagers are
making sworn depositions. After reviewing the depositions, the judge
will determine whether the case should go forward or be dismissed.
NuGrade has been dropped from the list of defendants. I believe Diane
Hager gave her deposition last week with Alan Hager to give his very
shortly.

Nope. I've been posting here for mumbly teen years and I am not blocked
from bidding. Seems like some of you gave more personal info than needed in
the group.

It was probably because of your RCC participation. I was blocked a little
before the law suit started and I had over 100 feedback at the time. I
think he just blocked everyone who posted regularly to RCC at that time.

Some of us have posted sufficient information for our ebay id's to be
known.

Well, first he has to figure out what your eBay account name is. In
general, that connection can only be made if we make "FA" postings or
mention an auction we've bid on.

Case in point: He's blocked one of my eBay accounts, but he has no idea
about my secondary account, so if I were so inclined, I could still do
business with him.

I really wish there was a "blocked sellers" list, though. I know I can
do an advanced search and exclude up to 10 sellers, but I've got 51
saved searches and I'm not about to edit all of them...

How would he know?

Jonathan_ATC

A few years ago, I included my eBay name, my ANA # and my WIN # as part of
my sig. I long ago quit doing that but if anyone Googles my name those old
posts will pop up. I have also posted a couple of FA posts with links to
my auctions as do many other regulars who sell on eBay.
