Nib-grind review
Hi all, I *really* like cursive italic nibs on my pens; I'm a lawyer so I sign my name quite often, and I like the way my sig looks using a cursive italic nib - and I don't have particularly good handwriting. And too, they don't interfere with note-taking as a regular italic does. So when I wanted to have my new Pelikan 600 re-ground I contacted the nib-meister who has done all of my other pens. Trouble was, he has a 12-week backlog, and I'm just a bit too impatient to tie up such a nice pen for that length of time. So I tried Pendemonium, and in 13 days had my re-ground pen in hand. I inked it, and gave it a try. Not at all bad; it is a bit more cursive than my others - that is to say, the sharp italic corners are a bit more rounded (confirmed under the loupe), but not noticeably so when writing. And it is certainly as smooth as writer as all of my others. And it cost me $15.00 rather than $35.00. Pendemonium is highly recommended! -- Cordially, Sonam Dasara 7/24/2005 3:09:54 PM |

I also have had nibs ground by both places/persons.
Pendemonium offers a superior service, costs about 50% less, and results in a superior product. I greatly prefer Pendemonium to the other place you are talking about -- but I know exactly what it is. |
