Default Opened by Quarantine?

The boys at Australia Post love opening my mail.
I think it's all those seductive curves and bumps in my envelopes.

This is the first time I have had one "Opened by Quarantine"
any ideas why that might be?
Can they not scan the cover if they think it seeds etc?
Perhaps the resident setter sniffed this one out.

hmm. That hasn't happened here (yet), but I believe there would always be a
"good" reason for inspecting/censoring mail in these Anthrax times.

Some of my mail to Australia and NZ disappears - plain vanishes into the
blue - i.e. never delivered. Maybe there are too many stamp collectors
among the p.o. clerks ...

Best regards
Mette

That is my biggest fear,
yet in 3 years have only lost one trade, (sent to Turkey)

My traders appreciate it when I email the Post Office receipt
with destination confirmation, as proof of despatch.
(albeit, they do not get a stamped cover, but a printed label)

I went to a new, more local PO yesterday, the Office was devoid
of customers, and I was met by 4 clerks shaking their heads
after requesting a destination receipt.

I returned later, and showed them the receipt I received from the
other PO, and the head clerk advised, "Oh yes, we may be able
to do that, trouble is, we don't know how to do it"

Cheers
