If you had taken the time to read the charter or FAQ for this group,
you would have noticed the following:

"This group is NOT appropriate for For Sale or Wanted To Buy postings,
those being handled nicely in rec.arts.books.marketplace and (to a
lesser extent) in rec.collecting. Nor would it include discussion of
content, that being reserved for rec.arts.books."

Why are you telling ME this and not the other people in the group that have
advertised a book for sale or indeed a collection of books in the past
couple of weeks? If you are going to be annoying, at least be consistent.

Matalog, *everyone* who violates the Charter is informed, usually in
e-mail. Bob's response was public likely because I had posted the FAQ
and Charter here not 24 hours earlier, and apparently you either
didn't see them or ignored them.

Sorry if being wrong annoys you, but the fact remains that you were
WRONG to post a "for sale" message here.

How about because when a driver gets a speeding ticket it's no less valid
just because the cops don't go after every speeder?

How about because all those others you complain about *have* been tagged,
albeit outside the group?

How about because you were stupid enough to post your WTB immediately after
two posts pointing to the group's charter & FAQ?

How about because you've been reading this group for at least 10 months and
so should know better anyway?

Because of your blatant disregard of the FAQ AND Charter which Bud
Webster had posted the day before your spam.
So stop your whining and admit that you were wrong!

I do realise that it posting ads is not accepted so therefore I would be
wrong to do so. Apart from that, all I was complaining about was bob
telling me and not others, but I now realise that was because of the
recently posted charter and FAQ which I hadn't read.

Thank you. That being said, stick around and help build the group
back up.
