Some likely lads.....

From the cracking read...."The Stamp of Australia"

2009 by Kelly Burke.

A rip roaring, 200 year trundle through the history of Australia's postal
service.
You can smell the spit polish of the Letter carrier's satchel.
Thoroughly recommended for the Aussie stamp enthusiast.

Devoured it in two days.

Cost: $10 from an advert for magazines.

As you've started me trawling through my Photobucket archives

I'd kill for that waistline Tony.

My screen shows a peculiar cover,
is that a window envelope?

First patented in the US in 1902, it would be interesting to find
when they were first used in Aust.
Nice roller cancellation.

I've been searching all over Melbourne for a Navvy, but without
success. I think if I had a moustache to twirl like that, and was
wearing a Navvy as well, I'd be irresistible to the geriatric set of
Richmond.
