!!!I Updates on the World Stamp Championahip 2004 !!!

Mr Hong Tuck Kun collection of major stamp printing errors varieties will
be invited as Court Of Honour in WSC 2004. These included the 1955
definitive essay of 8c value, with King George VI instead of Queen
Elizabeth II and unique colour omissions and essays and proofs of modern
Singapore. This is the second time this top class materials showed in
Singapore. First time on display was on 3 Aug 2003-27nAug 2000 at SPM 60th
Anniversary celebrations of Singapore Stamp Club.

This time he will be add in some more new matherials his aquisiting latest
since last exhibition.

Court Of Honour is a non-completition section, only collection of rare
philatelic gems, probably one of its kind in the world. Many of these
collections have also received Grand Prix Awards, just remember some of
the rare collection on display at WSC 1995 , these included The Royal
Philatelic Collection from Bristish royal family and Straits Settlements
Judicial And Revenue Stamps by Koh Seow Chuan.

Report on the Spink Sale on 19 June 2004 : Quite interesting prices were
realised for Straits Settlements stamp booklets. It raised the prices by
hundred-, even a thousand-fold. Below are some of the realised prices :
Lot 150 $6000(1925 $1.20 black on red,SG SB4). Lot 151 $4000(1927 $1 black
on grey,SG SB5. Lot 154 $6500(1927 $1.20 black on blue SG SB7). Lot 155
$6500(1929 $1.20 black on red SG SB4a).

Victorian stamps also commanded interesting prices as well.Lot 78
$1300(Two cwnt on 8c orange, SG 54-56 unused without gum).Lot 79 $4800(Two
cwnt on 8c orange, double surcharge SG 54a).Lot 93 $8500(8 on 8c on
12c,"s" of "cents" low, SG 80/80c).

Coffee Or Tea

Date: 5 July 2004 - 2 January 2005

This exhibition gives you a rare chance for an amazing journey towards
understanding cofee and tea - not as mere beverages, but as a living
culture and also keeps you psyched up though intriguing snippets on the
local coffee and tea evolution - from the street hawker, the coffee shop
and the Kopitiam to the cafe trend.

Sinpex 2004

Date: 7Aug2004(Sat)-9 Aug 2004(Mon).

Singpex will be held during the National Day period, It will feature
exhibits from the schools, both grouped and indivadual exhibits. There
will also be the dealers' stalls and Singpost will issue the National Day
stamps on 9 August, with the special datestamp, at the Philatelic Museum.

Admission to the museum is free on 7-9 August.
