Another of those stories that make you ask how do they manage to stay in
business...the answer always comes back, they are the only post office
in town. I had a package delivered on Saturday morning to my box at the
postal store here in town. I had been tracking it via email through the
USPS site. The site was to send me an email upon delivery. Now remember
I said the package was delivered Saturday morning, the email finally
arrived in my inbox Monday morning efficiency with a capital E!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see the importance of this e-mail notification. If you picked up
the package on Saturday what difference does it make when the e-mail
shows up? Monday seems fine to me.

Any more than two exclamation points is overkill.

OK, I'll amend my comment:

As I understand it, an e-mail should inform Jim about the date of
delivery of a package but this e-mail arrived too late. Therefore
questioning the utility of such an e-mail seems legit.

In what concerns the right number of exclamation points to be used in
this case, IMHO anything between two and nineteen and a half could be
appropriate :-)

That was exactly my point, seems that the USPS never quite does
something all the way. Mostly kinda half way and a lot of the time even
less than that. When I get Fedex or UPS deliveries at that same
location, I get the notification almost immediately as when the slate is
signed to accept the package for me. It is instantly sent up to the cell
tower or satellite then on to their server and out to me. I always know
before I ever pick up the mail/etc that the package is there. I was
more poking fun at the USPS than anything since they seem to be such an
easy target.

Have a great weekend Everyone

Jim
