Thanks Gazza,
no, not it, in relation to the quiz, the stamp contains no errors.
This is very difficult,
I'll reveal it after a month.

Is the year on the postmark before the stamp was issued?

No, sorry Tony, that's not it.

Congratulations on your updated Italian website, very nice indeed Sir.
On the Italian Social Republic page, you state
"most stamps from this sheet have N.R.G"
Is that correct?

Shucks.

Yes.

The overprint is normally G.N.R. (Guardia Nazionale Repubblicana)
This was displaced to the left sufficiently for the G. to appear on the next
stamp
to the left throughout the sheet.
Of course, the right-hand column has only the N.R.

No doubt someone has a copy of the left selvedge with a G. in it!

Is this only a sticker (not a stamp)?
I see no name of a country nor a value (even no color).

Thank you for your input Hans,
I trust your Indonesian collection is going well.

Unfortunately, the scan is poor, the image is indeed a stamp
(which has no bearing on the quiz)
http://cjoint.com/data/bqdW1YYhJL.htm

It is the Echidna (or hairy anteater) and is one of only two mammals
that lay eggs.

For English speaking members, perhaps a cryptic clue to the quiz may be
"A banana slurp"

Oh all right Bill, I'll spill the beans

The slogan on the cancel has a grammatical error in that it has "split infinitive"

A split infinitive or cleft infinitive is an English-language grammatical construction in
which a word or phrase, usually an adverb or adverbial phrase, comes between the
marker to and the bare infinitive (uninflected) form of a verb. A famous split infinitive
occurs in the opening sequence of the Star Trek television series: to boldly go where
no man has gone before. Here, the adverb "boldly" splits the full infinitive "to go."

The slogan should read "Blood donors are needed urgently"
rodney

Center!?
I suppose language is forever evolving, It is only natural that you colonials
mucked up some words when you took it with you.

Perhaps blood donors aren't urgently needed?
July 13, 1987 was a Sunday and the post offices were all closed?
"Center" is spelled wrong? It is, at least as far as I'm concerned.

And what, pray tell, is a banana slurp? That clue doesn't help this Californian a bit.

We have to wait a month for the correct solution? You can do better than that, Rodney. Although it's already tomorrow
in Australia.
