El Salvador - info please
In an accumulation recently delivered by Santa Claus I found this El
Salvador issue. To me it appears to be a cut-square from some postal stationary. It is inscribed as Republica del Salvador instead of the usual Republica de El Salvador and the image is embossed - I attached an over-equalized reproduction to make this clearer. So the described error concerns not "del Salvador". Later, after 1890, the inscription is "de el Salvador". Kind regards Gerhard
