Parker Sonnet medium oblique and medium italic nibs
I'm wondering about Parker's medium oblique (#88) and medium italic (#94) nibs
for the Sonnet, and trying to decide between them sight-unseen. Could someone with experience with either or both of these nibs give their impressions of them? Are they any good? What are the maximum/minimum stroke widths? Parker says the italic is "tipped with a pellet to glide effortlessly across the page", but also that "this nib is not for general writing purposes". How much catchier is the italic than the oblique? BTW, Parker's nomenclature has a separate category for "calligraphic nibs", which seem to be sold only for the Vector. |
