Pelikan Shanghai
I just got my Shanghai from Pam Braun. It was a pleasure to deal with
her. Not only the lowest price by a substantial margin, but an incredibly pleasant person to deal with. The pen is absolutely beautiful. Very un Pelikan like in color. I haven't inked it yet, but heck, it's a Pelikan. I know it will work flawlessly. I will report on the writing qualities once I decide which pen to un ink and flush. I got some Habanero at the show specially to use in this pen, and it looks like it will be a great match. Michael |

YOWZA!
Just went to her site, and saw the new Duofold Pinstripe. Gotta have it (ok, so I say that about most Duofolds and Watermans)! |

Michael went on and on about his silly Pelikan.
It's an ugly, hideous, nasty, absurd-looking pen. :P or that's what I have to keep telling myself. People keep predicting it will sell out. waaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh.... maybe someone will get bored with theirs next year... right? |

It looks like the whole barrel and the cap is made of lacquer and nothing else. It has got that oriental look. -- Best regards, Free Citizen http://pagesperso.laposte.net/fpnet |

It has got that oriental look. I was being sarcastic - or facetious - or smart*ss. :-) I think it's gorgeous but I have other *big* priorities right now that preclude any pen purchases for some time. I'm bummed considering these have rather limited production runs. I'm trying to console myself that there may be someone who decides they don't just absolutely love it and will sell it to me next year or something. i need to use more smilies, eh? |
