Cleaning
While giving some nibs a good soak in water before putting the pens away for a while, I noticed that one section had managed to stand on end with the nib pointing straight up. I thought the ink had cleared out and was going to shake it off, wick out the excess water, and set it out to air-dry, but somehow, the section's being on end and gravity, caused more ink to drain. I've never noticed this before because my sections have always lain horizontally in their cups. So, I did it to the other sections I thought were clear of ink and, sure enough, small tendrils of color came from them, too. Has this happened to anyone else? The paper I used to wick out the excess water is white and didn't show ink. -- ~~Bluesea~~ Spam is great in musubi, but not in email. Please take out the trash before sending a direct reply. |
