Default Lost Coin Found

Hi! Never posted here before. Looks like a great group.

Back in the late 80's I picked up an AU 1932-S quarter for somewhere
around $75. A nice coin with good luster. As many of us do, I lost
interest in coins for awhile but I got reinterested in the late 90's. I
noticed a significant jump in prices for early Washington quarters. I
looked all over for the 32-S. Couldn't find it anywhere. I went through
everything I had that had anything to do with coins. Nowhere to be
found. I finally just concluded that I must have sold or traded it away.
Oh well. Last week I was moving after 15 years in the same place. I
found an old Ziploc container behind the TV. I thought it contained old
small bicycle parts. I was a half a second away from throwing it in a
trash bag. But something made me stop and open the container. Wow! I was
shocked to find the 32-S in an envelope in the container. Also, I found
an Eisenhower dollar blank planchet that I had forgotten about. How
neat! I have no recollection of putting the coins in the container. (I
used to smoke a wee bit of pot, perhaps that will help explain the
memory loss.) Anyway, the 32-S had toned a bit in a very attractive
manner. It is a gorgeous coin that now Trends for $300. I am quite glad
I refound it!

So are we, Koba, it's a good deal for you, a good deal for the coin, and a
good deal for numismatics! Welcome to the newsgroup.

That's a great story! Wish I had stories like that to tell! Maybe some
day.

So, what we all want now are some pics of this coin!

Congrats of re-finding your coin(s)!

I'm trying to find my Franc 1872(?) MS63+ 1 franc. You didn't see it
behind the TV, too, did you? I mean to slab the rascal before anything
untoward befalls it.

I have an old trade dollar somewhere in this house but I'll be damned if I can
find it. Guess I have to move!
