Giuliani op admits "phantom" CA scam donation
Rootie-Tootie Giuliani's northeastern campaign money grabber (aka
"finance chairman"), Wall St. hedge fund manipulator Paul E. Singer, today admitted in today's LA and NY Timeses that he was the "mystery" $175K donor to the failed campaign to slice up California's 55 electors through a facetiously worded right wing initiative proposal. See previous article at The revelation by the shadowy hedge funder comes after unwanted publicity at the hands of Democratic Attorney General Jerry Brown, who made press conference statements outlining his job in preparing the proposed initiative for the ballot. Once that happened, the press started digging in and found, through FOIA and Sunshine Act demands for information, who the principles were in the bid to turn a chunk of California's reliably Democratic delegation into a GOP cadre the size of Ohio's entire delegation. The damage to Giuliani's campaign for the GOP nomination due to the shady Singer donation remains to be seen, although polls showed critical "swing" voters adamantly opposed to the measure once the fact that the measure would have made California the only "big" state to use proportional delegates. With Giuliani already tanking amongst the church nutters and right wing whackos, the loss of any critical "swing" voters could ruin his chances. That would again make the GOP field a "field of losers" with no one being a frontrunner to try to battle the Hillary Clinton juggernaut. |

DBob i notice that you are cheering for that globalist, communist bitch Hillary Clinton, i hope that you are not considering voting for her. i hope that you are smarter then that. if she gets into the White House, you might as well kiss our constitution goodbye. she is going to finish the job that GW Bush is currently doing. there are ONLY two candidates out there that are worth voting for & that is Rep Ron Paul (R) or Sen Mike Gravel (D). -- |

Giuliani op admits "phantom" CA scam donation
This guy is a scumbag who gets his money by stealing from the poor:
"Debt Advisory International, an investment consulting firm that's been involved in several vulture funds that have generated millions in profits, is run by Paul Singer - the largest fundraiser for the Republican Party in the state of New York. He's donated $1.7 million to Bush's campaigns." 10. VULTURE FUNDS: DEVOURING THE DESPERATE Named for a bird that picks offal from a carcass, this financial scheme couldn't be more aptly described. Well-endowed companies swoop in and purchase the debt owed by a third world country, then turn around and sue the country for the full amount - plus interest. In most courts, they win. Recently, Donegal International spent $3 million for $40 million worth of debt Zambia owed Romania, then sued for $55 million. In February an English court ruled that Zambia had to pay $15 million. Often these countries are on the brink of having their debt relieved by the lenders in exchange for putting the owed money toward necessary goods and services for their citizens. But the vultures effectively initiate another round of deprivation for the impoverished countries by demanding full payment, and a loophole makes it legal. Investigative reporter Greg Palast broke the story for the BBC's Newsnight, saying that "the vultures have already sucked up about $1 billion in aid meant for the poorest nations, according to the World Bank in Washington." With the exception of the BBC and Democracy Now!, no major news source has touched the story, though it's incensed several members of Britain's Parliament as well as the new prime minister, Gordon Brown. US Reps. John Conyers (D-Mich.) and Donald Payne (D-N.J.) lobbied Bush to take action as well, but political will may be elsewhere. Debt Advisory International, an investment consulting firm that's been involved in several vulture funds that have generated millions in profits, is run by Paul Singer - the largest fundraiser for the Republican Party in the state of New York. He's donated $1.7 million to Bush's campaigns.
